Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is mostly composed of sand-sized minerals and rock grains. As it is generally quite resistant to weathering, it is commonly used in building and paving. The natural lines that are also seen in sand dunes add to its beauty. It comes in as many colours as there are varieties of sand, but the most common tones are tans, browns, yellows, reds, greys, and white.
