Granite is an igneous rock that is formed from magma, and has been used in architecture since the times of the Ancient Egyptians.  It is one of the most durable of the natural stones and therefore suits high traffic floor areas indoors, outdoors, and in commercial buildings.  Granite is very easy to keep clean and maintain as it is waterproof, stain resistant, has low porosity making it difficult for bacteria to settle, and is difficult to burn or damage.  Given that it is a natural product there are variances in each stone, and so each piece chosen will add individuality to the project it enhances.  Granite is available in a huge spectrum of shades, textures, and colours.
