Ceramic tiles are available in a matt, satin or gloss finish. They are a durable tile and can therefore be used both in high traffic and wet areas. As floor tiles with a gloss finish are given a number of layers of glaze in order to avoid scratches and wear, they can tend to be a little slippy. As the tiles are baked in batches, it is a good idea to order what you need in one order, as you will find that there can be some colour differences otherwise. Ceramic tiles are the least expensive option in a tile, and are less expensive to fit also as they are easier to cut than natural stone.

As with all tiles, it is important to use a neutral cleaning product with a low PH value as some cleaning products can burn the surface and dull a glazed finish.
